National Campaign : "NO to the new proposal of GMO Act" Burning Act in Stryszow

During this month we are collecting signatures below letter is being sent to Polish Parliamentarians and Senators. We are calling upon them to reject the new proposal of a 'GMO Act', passed by the board of Ministers, including the Prime Minister, on 13 February and to be put in front parliament in the near future.This Act allows for the planting of commercial GM crops in currently self designated GMO Free Zones

D-DAY 2006

ICPPC coordinated the Joint International GMOpposition Day in Poland. We inspired several organizations and people:

• To make fires on top of hills in every region/country (Beacons of Fire). Fire as a symbol of warning against danger!
• To organize symbolic protests with spreading of traditional seeds by attaching them to balloons and releasing them during local happenings.
• To organize information actions during the regular meetings of provincial boards (sejmiki wojewodzkie)
